Comment :Before meeting Ashraf we always had to keep in mind that guides in Egypt have two serious shortcomings. First, they consider all foreign tourists to be wealthy, and wish to relieve them of their wealth as soon as possible – either by way of charging too much, or by outright deceit (the tourist and the guide will never meet again, so there is no risk). Second, there’s the matter of “Egyptian punctuality”. If you are told that a car will come to pick you up in ten minutes, be ready to wait for up to a few hours. And if the car is supposed to have four unoccupied seats, in reality there may be only three, and you will have to fight other travelers for the fourth seat (or there may be no seats at all, and you will have to travel in the truck bed).

Comment :Мы были с Ашрафом в однодневной поездке по пустыням Синая. Связались с ним по почте и договорились о старте из Шарм-эль-Шейха. В отличии от всех остальных экскурсий, предлагавшихся в Шарме, Ашраф организовал поездку от гостиницы в Дахаб и обратно на нормальных микроавтобусах и только в Дахабе пересели на Ландкруизер-70. Все остальные "организованные" экскурсанты всю дорогу вынуждены сидеть низких жестких лавочках джипов спиной к окнам.
Движение было организовано идеально - первичны были наши интересы, а не расписание водителей. Если надо, останавливались, фотографировали или просто выходили посмотреть.
Стартовали в 7 утра от гостиницы, потом небольшой отдых за чашкой чая в кафе в Дахабе - и вперед в пустыню!
Начали с Белого каньона, неспешно пара часов прогулки по нему, потом обед в оазисе, переждали полуденный зной и снова в джип. По жаре особенно есть не хочется, но еда оказалась приятной, особенно к месту была дынька.
Я не думаю, что стоит нахваливать Синай на словах, то, что эти места надо видеть, решило для себя уже множество людей. Мы были не в сезон, но встречали в пустыне и арабов, и немцев, и англичан с датчанами, даже австралийцев!
Ашраф постарался организовать маршрут таким образом, чтобы показать нам по максимуму разнообразие ландшафтов Восточного Синая, за что ему искреннее спасибо.
Выбирались из пустыни на закате, с надеждой отправиться сюда уже на три-четыре дня в той же компании, места запомнились, а посмотреть есть еще много чего - и каменный лес Пилларса, и древнеегипетские развалины Эль Хадима, и петроглифы, да и просто здешние каньоны, пески и скалы.
Бог даст, выберемся. Надеюсь, с Ашрафом. Он надежный спокойный человек, его родня живет в этих краях уже несколько тысяч лет и знает их досконально. Надеюсь, и нас чему-то научит))).

Comment :كم اشتاق للكتابة وكم اتمنى أن يكون قلمي قد اشتاق إلي أيضاً. لا أصدق انني مستيقظة من الفجر في يوم اجازة ولكن قمت بكذا عمل يسعدني و هذا هو المهم ..
أريد أن اكتب هذا الموضوع منذ زمن، وها أنا ذا أحاول.
في يوم من أيام سفري إلى دهب ، بالتحديد ونحن عائدون من أبو جالوم ، وهي لمن لا يعرفها منطقة جميلة للغطس ولكن لا توجد طرق ممهدة لها إلا البعيد جداً.فذهبنا على جمال وهنا بدأت القصة.
فعندرحلة العودة لم أجد إلا جملين اختار بينهما فتوكلت على الله واخترت احدهماوما إن بدأ يمشي حتى لاحظت عليه بعض السمات الشخصية التي تميزه عن الاخرين، فكل الجمال بدأت الرحلة في خط مستقيم أما جملي أبى أن يمشي مع القطيع وحاولت جاهدةً وأنا على ظهره أن اسنينه عن عزمه ولكن فشلت.
نعم فشلت.
وجدتني وأنا وحدي مع جملي.. أنا وهو فقط وكانت الشمس قد قربت على المغيب، البحرعن شمالي والجبال عن يميني وسماء زرقاء صفية من فوقي... كم هذا المنظربديع أحسست وقتها بصفاء لم أعهده في حياتي الصاخبة.. كانت الجبال ذات ألوان جميلة فبعضها أحمر وأخرى سوداء أما الأكثر فكانت خليط متجانس من اللونين مثل خطوط تداخلت لتتعانق بلا حراك. بدأت السماء أيضاً تحذو حذو الجبال فتأخذ من ألوانها معلنةً قرب المغيب.
أماعن المجموعة فقد ذهبت بعيداً حيث لم أكن أراها ولا حتى اسمعها. مع كل التيه الذي أنا فيه .. مازال هذا الصفاء النفسي لا يفارقني كما لم تفارقني نسمات الهواء العليل النقي
أما جملي فقد أخذ يمشي في طرق عجيبة، تارةً يتسلق جبلٌ صغير وتارةٌ أخرى يمشي على السهل الدقيق بين البحر والجبل .
بدأت حينها أفكر "هذا الجمل لن ينفذ ما أطلبه ، ولكن مهلاً من الذي قال أن ماأطلبه هو السلامة؟ فربما يعرف الجمل طريقٌ أفضل، لماذا دائماً أعتقد انني أحسن من يفكر وانني أحسن من يتأخذ القرارات؟"
ربمايكون الجمل أفضل مني في معرفة الطريق ، في هذه اللحظة قررت أن أثق في الجمل وأن أعطيه فرصة أن يقودني ، وأعطي نفسي اجازة من التفكير. لا أعرف ما أصابني في هذه اللحظة هل فقدت عقلي ؟! في النهاية أترك جمل يقودني؟! لم افهمني ولكن هذه أنا التي تظهر أوقات على سطح شخصيتي ..لم أفكر كثيراًولكن هذا ما قررت وما شعرت أنه صواب .
تركت اللجام ورفعت قدمي فوق ظهر الجمل وأسلمت أمري إلى الله
وقررت أيضاً الإستمتاع بهذا السكون النادر.
مشى الجمل ومشى ومشى. وبدأت اتحدث إليه. نعم إلى الجمل !!
هنا كنت أشعر أن كل المخلوقات تتكلم وتسمع وتتجاوب معي.
فربت على رقبته وقلت له، ألا يكفي هذا يا جمل قربت الشمس على المغيب ألا يمكن أن نعود إلى الطريق؟
لم يعلق الجمل ولكنه إستدار و اتجه إلا البحر ينظر إليه وكأنما يتأمله فقلت له أيها الجمل الشاعر إلى ما تنظر، الطريق ليس من هنا، ثم تذكرت انني قررت أن أثق به وتقريباً كان هذا القرار الوحيد الذي أملك وقتها
ثم وجدت الجمل ينزل إلى البحر !!!! نعم نزل الجمل إلى البحر حتى أصبحت ركبته مغطاه بالماء !!! ثم إستدار ونظر في إتجاه الجبل !!! ياللعجب !!! وظل الجمل على هذا الحال. وأنا فوقه !!!
لم يكن الجمل هو ما يشغلني في هذه اللحظة ولكن كنت استغرب نفسي جداً!!!
قررت بعدها أن اشارك الجمل لحظة التأمل التي هو فيها وبدأت في قرائة الأذكار التي حان وقتها.
بدأت اقرأ وأتلو بصوتٍ عاليا وارتل .كم كان صوتي جميلاً في هذا المكان مع بعض الصدى الذي أسمعه أنا و... الجمل
فور إنتهائي من الأذكار تذكرت المشكلة التي أنا فيها ..
فسألت الجمل بصوتٍ عالي .." مش يلا نمشي بئة ؟" قلت ذلك وأنا أربت على عنقه ثانيةً
الغريب هذه المرة أن الجمل بدأ يسمعني .. نعم فقد بدأ يخرج من البحر وبدأ ينفذمطالبي وليس اوامري .. وجدت أن ثقتي في الجمل كانت في محلها فقلت له يجب أن نسرع قبل مغيب الشمس فوجدته يجري!!! ولكن كان هذا أقوى من إحتمالي فأنا لست فارسة ، فطلبت منه ثانيةً أن يمشي بسرعة أقل فوجدته ينفذ .. سبحانالله .. هل هذا أثر الأذكار؟
هنا أحسست بشعور يصعب علي وصفه: منتهى الإحساس بمعية الله والثقة بأنه لن يضيعني ..
مشيت مع جملي الذي إستحق ثقتي عن جدارة وأوصلني في النهاية إلى المكان الصحيح وعلمني درساً لن أنساه: لماذا لا اعطي ثقتي للناس ولماذا لا أعطي فرصةلأحد حتى يثبت أنه جدير بالثقة ؟ لماذا أعتقد أنه أكيد طريقتي هي أفضل طريقة للوصول ؟ مع إن لكل طريقته في الوصول .. قررت كتابة ذلك وسميته ..وتعلمت من جمل ..
كم أود الوصول إلى هذه الراحة النفسية التي شعرت بها مع جملي .. هذه الثقةالتي اعطيتها له عن طيب خاطر و أيضا استطاع ان ينتزعها مني.. هل يمكن أن أثق في إنسان بهذه الطريقة؟حتى أسلم له إتخاذ قرارت تخصني بلا مشكلة ؟
فور وصولنا أحسست أني حقيقي أحب هذا الجمل :) نزلت من على ظهره وأنا تملؤني مشاعر مختلفة كثيرة .. نزلت وسلمت على جملي وجدته يحيني برأسه و بصوت يصدره .. حقاً هذه التحية لي ؟ هذا فعلاً جملي :))))

Comment :The trip to the Coloured Canyon was a wonderful experience. We saw the stunningly starry sky, the hills shone resplendently in the morning sun. Ashraf is the best guide we have ever had. He showed us many beautifully coloured rock formations in the Coloured Canyon and told us interesting things about the Sinai peninsula and the history of his land. We felt that he loves his job, the mountains, desert and landscape of his land. We are grateful for this excursion and can absolutely recommend to do the tour with Ashraf. Thank you very much.

I lived in Egypt 2 years in Cairo, 3 years ago. Usually, I never write on Internet Sites but I will do it for Ashraf who is really a very good and interesting guide.
He is peacefull, open-minded, he always lets you the time and your intimity to enjoy the visit you are doing and the most important thing is that He knows very well Sinai and his nice mountains and he likes them.

Comment :I can only recommend anyone to go on a trip with Ashraf, a very kind and open-minded Egyptian, that is interested in the understanding of other world cultures and at the same time open to discuss and supply knowledge of the egypt and muslim culture. Great way to experience the people and culture of Egypt. And not least he also took us on some incredible snorkeling at Raz Mohammed National Park - the best snorkeling experience I ever had - truly an unbelievable animal and coral scenery. We camped in the National Park over night, it was amazing to sleep under open sky watching the many stars and ultimately adding some extra snorkeling trips in the sea 20 metres from the tent - seeing bluespotted stingrays and other underwater life. Thank you for a great experience of seeing the wonders of Egypt and also from another perspective, getting to discuss and understand the culture and the country better..

Comment :Ashraf is a special travelguide who knows much about the locations. We went to three different places; all three trips where perfectly organised and the information we got from Achraf was exploring, interesting and memorizable. During our visit in Dahab, we went to the white canyons, we saw the beautifull undersea-world en we drove the quat which was very exciting. Although the staff of our hotel were angry on us because we didn't made use of their trips, I have certainly no regrets at all!
I would advise everyone to make the same trips as we did.. I have a lot great memories and met a great person who's name is Ashraf.

Comment :This trip was the most memorable trip of my life! I spend 2 weeks in Egypt and this trip was the highlight of the whole trip. Ashraf was the most kind and considerate guide as well! He even gave me some natural herbs to calm my "travel tummy". His knowledge of the land and ecosystem allowed him to open up a whole new world to my foriegn eyes!
